A little planning goes a long way

    Good questions.
    Clear next steps.

Answers to help you plan your event, choose activities and know what to ask before you book.

21 answers to help you get started.

    Getting started

How do I get a quote?

Start with your event date, location, approximate guest count and the activities you have in mind. Use our enquiry form, or contact us if you would like help choosing. Availability and the final event details are confirmed by the team.

Can you help me choose rides and rentals?

Yes. Tell us who is coming, the space you have and what kind of event you want to create. A school fun day, a company celebration and a small birthday may need very different activity mixes.

How far ahead should I enquire?

Enquire once you have a likely date and venue. The sooner we can review your plans, the more time there is to discuss suitable options. An enquiry does not reserve equipment; ask the team to confirm the booking steps for your event.

    What determines the final cost?

The items, date, duration, venue location, access and services needed all help define your quote. Review delivery, setup, staffing and any other line items with the team before confirming. A listed starting price may not be your complete event cost.

What are the deposit, cancellation and weather policies?

Ask for the current terms that apply to your specific booking before you confirm. Refer to your written quote and agreement for payment dates, changes, cancellation and weather arrangements.

    Venue & setup

What should I check with my venue?

Start with usable space, access for delivery, surface type, overhead clearance and available power. Share venue restrictions and the times suppliers can arrive and leave. The team will confirm requirements for the equipment you select.

Do you deliver and set up?

Delivery and setup can be discussed as part of your event quote. Confirm the location, access route, arrival window, setup requirements and collection arrangements with the team so responsibilities are clear.

    Can activities go indoors?

Some events can use indoor spaces, but suitability depends on the exact equipment and venue. Share ceiling height, door widths, floor space and venue rules before choosing items. Please wait for confirmation that your planned setup is suitable.

How do we plan for bad weather?

Discuss a weather plan when you book. Depending on the activity and venue, that may mean an indoor option, a changed layout or another agreed arrangement. Follow the operating instructions and the team’s directions on the day.

    Rides & inflatables

Which activities suit our age group?

Start with the ages of your guests and share any accessibility considerations. Suitability and participation requirements vary by item. Check the selected equipment details and confirm them with the team rather than assuming every activity suits every guest.

Do rides and inflatables need power?

Requirements vary by equipment. Ask for the power specification for each selected item and confirm it against what your venue can supply. Include the location of available power when sharing your site plan.

    Who supervises the activities?

Confirm staffing, operators and any volunteer responsibilities in your quote. Requirements depend on the activity. Make sure your organiser and volunteers understand the agreed plan before guests arrive.

    Casino nights

Which casino tables can we enquire about?

Explore blackjack, roulette, poker and craps in our casino equipment catalogue. Tell us your guest count and available space so we can discuss a suitable table mix. Availability is confirmed for your date.

Is Fun Times Casinos connected to BC Event Makers?

Yes. Fun Times Casinos is our casino event brand. You can start your casino enquiry here through BC Event Makers, or explore the separate Fun Times Casinos website.

    Are dealers included?

Tell us whether you need dealers or have a volunteer team. Discuss the staffing and any training arrangements with us, then confirm exactly what is included in your event quote.

Can a casino night work for beginners?

Tell us about your guests’ experience levels when planning the night. Discuss table choices, explanations and staffing so guests know how to join in. You do not need a final table list to start an enquiry.

The details that make a difference

    Before the big day.

How will I know my booking is confirmed?

Look for written booking confirmation and check the date, equipment, timings and payment details. Sending an enquiry starts the conversation; it does not reserve equipment. If you are unsure where your booking stands, contact us with your reference and we can help you check.

How much time should I allow for setup?

Setup time depends on the equipment, access and layout. Tell us when the venue becomes available and when guests should be able to start. Discuss arrival, setup, activity finish and collection as separate parts of the schedule.

What should I check in my event quote?

Review the exact equipment, event duration and services listed. Ask about delivery, setup, staffing, power and any other costs relevant to your event. Send us the item link or a screenshot if you want help matching a photo to your selection.

Who should I speak to if something needs attention on the day?

Speak to the on-site lead or contact our office with your booking details and a clear description of what needs attention. If an activity may be unsafe, stop using it and alert its operator immediately. Follow the operator’s instructions.

What details should I share before event day?

Bring together your event contact, venue access instructions, equipment list and running order. Include setup and collection windows, power information and any staffing or volunteer arrangements discussed with the team. Share changes as early as possible so they can be considered in the plan.
